Commissioning an artwork is an experience that gives you the chance to create or re-create a timeless piece of art; born from either your imagination or from a photograph as a sentimental heirloom that honours a dear memory.

 

Due to other commitments I only accept one commission per month. All commissions are original pieces of art, oil painted on belgian linen. The frame is also custom made out of kiln-dried victorian ash wood, 32mm thick.

Once the guidelines, subject, style and aesthetics are established, and we have together captured sight of your ideal piece of art, the project commences to its next stage. You can provide reference photos should you choose to do so, or I can provide them myself. I will then create a digital sketch of the overall composition and run it by you. Upon approval, the colour will begin to land on the canvas.

All artworks, once completed, are finalised in a floating pine wood frame of your colour choice. If you are located in Sydney, I will deliver the artwork directly to you. If you are interstate or beyond seas, please be assured your piece will be protected in transit. The works are built and secured in a customised wooden cart. Shipping is included in the final price.

The timing from conception to fulfilment varies for each piece. If you need the artwork completed by a certain date please be sure to specify this in the initial stages of our consultation.

 

A bespoke painting is one customised specifically for you. You get to be apart of the creative process and witness its unfolding. Your piece will not be reproduced by any means. Therefore, due to the nature of a commission, the prices are slightly higher than that of an open original.

 

Artworks are priced by hour and square inch.

The final price will be based on several elements, such as the complexity and size of the painting, as well as any unique requirements.

A 50% deposit of the total price is required before the painting begins. The final 50% is due upon completion.
